Karl Finke Buch No. 3 by Ole Wittmann
Karl Finke (1866 - 1935) is one of the most important personalities in the German tattoo history. Christian Warlich and Karl Finke are considered protagonists of the Hamburg tattoo scene in the first half of the 20th century. So far, Karl Finke has been described in very different ways, e.g. as a professional sportsman, freak, passionate artist or tattoo artist from the old school in the concept of decline. It almost seems as if everything is already said about Finke. The recent rediscovery of his original album of the 1920s, however, reveals new aspects of his work.
This book has now been published with accompanying texts. The conception and design of the book was done in cooperation with the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
