The Elephant protection film is used for the initial treatment of the skin directly after tattooing.
Within the first few days directly after tattooing, the skin tries to eliminate the tattoo ink during the cleansing phase according to its natural protective mechanism, as it is classified as a ''foreign material''.
Elephant´s Tattoo Derm protection film serves as a perfect wound care in the first days and ensures that as much tattoo ink as possible remains in the skin. Furthermore the foil prevents a possible unhygienic care of your tattoo by the customer at home.
The foil is breathable, waterproof, stretchy and very comfortable to wear.
With healthy skin and a normal self-healing process, the outermost skin layer, the epidermis, is restored after four days. The foil can then be removed and the tattoo can be further cared for with a tattoo care.
